This weeks goodness, Child’s Play, is a charity that gives the video gaming community the opportunity to give back. Since 2003 they have been dedicated to improving the lives of children suffering in hospitals around the globe by fulfilling hospital wish lists full of video games, toys and movies. Since their inception, over 7 million dollars in donations of toys, games, books and cash has been collected for sick kids in children’s hospitals worldwide.

“Belief in a god, or a supreme being, and some sort of afterlife is strong in many countries around the globe, according to a new Ipsos/Reuters poll. Fifty-one percent of the 18,829 people across 23 countries who took part in the survey said they were convinced there is an afterlife and a divine entity, while 18 percent said they don’t believe in a god and 17 percent weren’t sure.”

“I am in my 50s, married 30 years and have four children and six grandchildren. I am not religious but am spiritual. I am in relatively poor health, with diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure and cholesterol, but generally feel good and work out daily. In my early 40s, when I was in good health, I had a premonition or whatever that I had until age 58 to live. Rationally, I understand that odds are I am deluding myself, but I sincerely believe this is my fate. Outside of this, I seem to be mentally stable.”
