Spirituality News & Posts:

1. The Huffington Post: Poll: 9 In 10 Americans Still Believe In God
“A poll released by Gallup on Friday found that 92 percent of Americans still say “yes” to the simple question, “Do you believe in God?”… Despite what seems like a remarkably high number, this result marks the lowest rate of positive responses since Gallup began measuring Americans’ belief in God in 1944. In that year, 96 percent of respondents said “yes”.”

2. Darren Starwynn: Redemption and the Healing Arts
“For most people, science, economics and spirituality are separate areas of life and knowledge. All three of these vital pursuits, however, have roots in the same universal laws that govern everything in the universe. The main definition of the word universal is “present or occurring everywhere or in all things.” Universal laws therefore would apply to all areas of knowledge and human activity or they would not be universal.”

3. Pat Shipman: What Role Did Animals Play in the Emergence of Human Spirituality?
“There is abundant evidence that animals figured prominently in the origins of rituals and symbolism, both of which are also linked to improved communication of information between individual humans.”
