Practical Practice: Be astonished by Life

Are You Astonished?

Take a moment. Now open your heart to the wonder of the human experience. You need not know the how or why of it to be fully astonished by the sublime beauty of Life. Can you sense it? When you can’t help but fall to your knees and weep with joy…you are on the right track. 🙂

The tell has been told of those that walk in to the woods and many places of nature searching for the divine, only to walk away feeling more lost than before they started there journey.

But for those that have already found the spirit with in them, they all the more can see the Divine every where in nature and all around them.

I love the awe inspiring mystery’s of Nature and life, no matter how much i learn or science discovers there is always more left for my imagination to ponder. Gratitude is my blessing ty

“Atheists” stand in awe of the nature that was created from nothing.

“Pantheists” stand in awe of the nature that created itself.

“Spiritualists” stand in awe of nature because of its beauty.

“Christians” stand in awe of the God who created it.

When I was a kid I needed “not know the how or why of” those great tasting chocolate-chip-cookies on the table – which are still my favorite, by the way – but after some time of being “astonished by the sublime beauty of” the taste, I’m sure (in fact, I know) my mother would have appreciated a “thank-you.” More than that, more than just treats, she wanted to love me. That is how God is with us. The child can take and take, but sooner or later, because “taking” is all that that child does, that child will be labeled as “a spoiled brat” – and punishment is sure to come. If you don’t know where you are going you cannot know where you will end-up. You need a map. The Bible is that map and Christ is the door to eternal life: “I am The Way, The Truth and The Life, NO man comes to the Father except through me.”
